Elite – The New Kind

Elite – The New Kind (also known as E-TNK) is a conversion of the 1984 space combat and trading game Elite. It was created by Christian Pinder and originally published in 2001. It was developed by disassembling the disk version of BBC Elite and writing a new conversion in C, a process which took two years. E-TNK was designed to be a faithful remake of the original Acornsoft Elite while making it accessible to modern gamers.

E-TNK was itself ported to numerous other platforms and quickly became one of the most widely played versions of Elite.

Answers to some of the frequently asked questions about E-TNK can be found in the F.A.Q.
